Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) Examination

Dates

The CFTe I exam is now being offered year-round, at testing centers throughout the world through Pearson VUE, IFTA’s computer-based testing provider. The candidate selects the exam date and location when they register for the exam. See the process to register here.

The CFTe II is offered twice annually, typically in April and October. Register here for the next CFTe II on 22 April 2021. The deadline to register for this exam is 12 March 2021. No registrations will be accepted after this date.

Notice: Due to COVID-19, the CFTe II may be proctored online. Details about the process will be distributed to candidates closer to the exam date.

Locations

The CFTe I examinations are offered at testing centers throughout the world through Pearson VUE, IFTA’s computer-based testing provider. Please contact IFTA for further details.

The CFTe II examinations are offered in major cities throughout the world. IFTA will attempt to accommodate any exam location request. Additional fees apply to candidates requesting a non-IFTA proctored exam location (where IFTA incurs additional expenses).

Languages

The CFTe I exams are currently offered in English, German, Spanish, Arabic, French and Chinese. The CFTe II exam is offered in English, German, Italian, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Chinese. Additional fees may apply to candidates requesting the exam in a non-English language.

Master of Financial Technical Analysis (MFTA)

Dates

Individuals who are seeking entry to the program via the “Alternate Path” are required to submit an “Alternate Path pre-application” by either February 28 for the session beginning May 2 (Session 1) or July 31 for the session beginning October 2 (Session 2). If accepted, they must then submit other items according to the below schedule.

Languages

MFTA papers must be submitted in English. If a candidate writes the paper in another language, the candidate is responsible for having it translated and submitting translation by the regular deadline.
